    hmoosek,

I'm guessing you were asking about "hooks" rather than books? If so, I'll get you taken care of. Drop me a PM and let me know your needs, and we'll go from there.

Here's to a great tying season ahead...

PS For anyone needing hooks, please see the original post. I've updated the info as of this morning, October 29, 2015... JW

Jerry, the hooks arrived today, and I'm at a loss.......to say your numbers and selection were generous, would be to grossly understate the nature of the contents of the box. The inventory of hooks, that you've provided, will keep me busy for a long time, and provide an opportunity for me to develop the skills needed to tie on those #22 and #24 hooks. The personal touch, of including some of your seldom seen favorites was very kind.

    Thank you Jerry.

Much respect to you for looking after "your kids".

    John,

You're quite welcome. Enjoy the challenge of those #22 and #24 hooks, and let me know what patterns you come up with on those "old favorite" hooks of mine...

Wrap 'em tight and tie 'em well, John, and take good care...

Herc, learn to tie Tricos on a bigger hook and then work your way down to those sizes. You'll have lots of fun fishing them this year in Missouri!

    Hey Jerry,

Thanks for the hooks. To say your numbers were generous would be a huge understatement! And it definitely seemed like a good assortment to get me going in fly tying. Thanks alot and hopefully it will be helpful to you and "your kids"!

    Thanks,
    Lee

    Lee,

You're quite welcome. I try to do whatever I can to further any and all aspirations to wrapping a hook. So, I made sure that you had more than enough...

Here's hoping to see some of your ties posted here on the forum in the months to come. Wade safe in the season ahead, Lee, and thank you again for thinking of "my kids" and me...

    Jerry,
As I am finding the tying to be "therapeutic" I foresee a hook order in my future. I have quite a bit of travel in my near future but will let you know when I am ready!

My routine as of late has been walk in from work, hit the shower, and then sit at the vise for an hour or so!

    Dustin,

Just let me know when you're ready, my friend. But, please be fore-warned... As killem pointed out, my widely-acknowledged lack of "precise counting skills" tend to come into play with the hook boxes, much the same as they do when tying up and filling a fly box. Hence, the reason for the ever-present "+" qualifier. It allows me a certain "hedging on my bets" factor...

Besides, I've never been accused of being short on the final counts in the hooks or flies arenas, and I'd like to keep that reputation/character flaw firmly in place. So, when the need is there...

Meanwhile, it's back to the vise for hour #2 this morning. Take good care, Dustin...
