Thanks Gary, I've been using the Kool-Aid method for dying and have had issues getting color to be really bright, I noticed he uses much more vinegar to set the dye than I've been using....thinking that could be a big part of my problem.
Also noticed he's not afraid to bring the mix to a gentle boil as long as you keep the material moving.

I'll be giving his methods a try once I get a few more flank feathers.:thumbsupu

I've never brought the mix to the point of boiling. I usually go up to about 185, then try to keep the mix at 175 for whatever length of time I need. He'd does dump a bunch of vinegar in...he measures about like I do, LOL.

I think you'll be well pleased when you move from kool-aid to acid dyes!
