Looking for a 7 ft rod for small streams.
Anyone got one they're looking to sell?

I looked for a long time for a 7' or 7'6" 4 weight for the Driftless streams, but although I did find a few, I didn't want fiberglass, or else the price was very high indeed. I ended up with an 8' 4 weight Echo Base. I can afford a more expensive rod, but it's gotten such great reviews that I couldn't resist. I've only wiggled it around so far, and had planned to use it this weekend, but the snow we received yesterday and will also receive tomorrow are making me delay my plans a week.

My absolute favorite rod ever was a 7'8" 4 weight that only had the name "Chalkstream" on the blank. It was built by a guy who worked in a fly shop, and I think he got the blank at Angler's Workshop. I used that for 25 years before it shattered two springs ago. Pretty full flexing, it could still huck a conehead muddler across the stream if needed.
