Hello...I'm going on a trip in early May to the Chaffey's Lock/ Elgin area in Ontario, CA, and I've never been there before. My dad, uncle and grandfather are also coming and used to fish there quite often, probably 20 or 30 years ago and they say that we'll catch some Pike and Bass. Has anyone fished this area on a fly rod? I'm planning on mostly using a cast/spin rod, but I definitely want to take my fly rod in case I can have a chance to hook a pike on a fly! I've heard that is an awesome fight! Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
