Ok, I am new to the forum, would like to post more but it's Christmas Eve

and tonight is the : Feast of The Fishes.

Traditional Christmas Eve dinner for Italians, Sicilians, Eastern Europeans
and Western Europeans.

My question, according to region, what is the number of fishes
to be served.

Is it 7 10 11 or 12 ?

We are having 7 tonight.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

I WISH YOU MANY FISHES TONIGHT AND IN THE NEW YEAR

I think I remember hearing 7, but this isn't a tradition in my family so I could be way off.

Our tradition is ham, turkey and lots of fixens. :D

Having a mother and extended relatilves from Alabama and the deep south for generations, and been born there myself and raised on the fringes of the Everglades, our Christmas dinner was always ham.

But after moving to New England at 13, my father's Nova Scotian and New England heritage took over New Year's dinner, and we had Canadian Geese thereafter for New Year's dinner, shot by either my dad or me.

Now, being single and living alone, I eat whatever friends are serving, and bring only dessert.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

Cheers,
Jim
