    Default Lake Norman

    Heading to Lake Norman next week. Any tips on the lake or surrounding areas? How bout it y'all? You N. C . Boys have any info. Feel free to pm me.

    I hear the bluegill and bass are doing good in the shallows. The carp too. We have stripers but they tend to be small and from what I hear the white perch population is goofing up the striper numbers.
    With a fly rod I would pound the banks topwater. You might even dredge up one of those big 'ol catfish!

    Sounds good . My buddy has been hammering blue cats and spotted bass nightly. Im trying to find out if there are any other waters worth trying nearby. Thanks for the update Jackster.

    1-1/2 hours away are trout. Anything from stocked streams to pocket waters with native, opportunistic brookies.
