Default Why I Like Calling North Carolina Home

    January 4th - Appalachian Brookies

    January 10th - Piedmont Largemouths

January 14th - Down East Reds

From mountains to coast, it's a great place to be a fisherman. Year round.

Mike: Hard to beat all that nearby fishing variety!

Don't forget the occassional hurricane rolling through to spice things up!

There's also the food, beauty of the country and the people...Maybe not just NC, but that part of the country always makes me happy when I visit. Some of the cities are off the hook (Savannah, Charleston, etc) and the Parkway is awesome.

I have to chuckle at this; that's generally how we console ourselves over the harsh winters up here, "well at least we don't get the hurricanes they get down south"

What's not to like, you are lucky to have so many species to fish for.
I'd love to catch a Bass on a fly.

These three just scratch the surface. Very lucky, indeed.

And bass on the fly are fantastic!

The picture with the jar of moonshine - you know what I like the most? That table. My kind of furniture.
