Any suggestions for wade fishing options in or around Cherry Log, GA. My wife and I are planning a trip for the end of July and the cabin we are getting is in Cherry Log and on the Cherry Log Creek ( I've researched that creek, and it doesn't look like it's a fishable creek), so I would like to know if there are any suggestions for smaller streams in the area.

I know we wouldn't be too far from Tammen Park, so that would be an easy drive, but I like the smaller streams.

The best place for you to go is the Toccoa river, a tailwater out of Lake BlueRidge. Has some hatches of mayflies, terrestrials and good nymph fishing.
Caution in fishing tailwater with rapid rise in the river. Check schedule before fishing. Good luck.
