Western mountain counties of NC? specificly Avrey, Mitchell and Yancey counties...rivers include : north toe, south toe, and many small creeks
Im just curious if anyone has any good advice on what to fish this time of year...the North Toe runs right by my house so any info on it would be great

I like to use small pheasant tail nymphs around this time, also bead head hares ears. Make sure you take along some dries. The warm weather spikes that we have often prompts hatches and you can still get some to take dries. I also really like to use different midge type flies in about a 20 or 22 when the fishing is really slow.
