We'll be heading to Tennessee in a couple weeks for a wedding, and I plan on sneaking away for a day of tailwater fishing below Norris Dam. I will be wading when they are not generating, and hopefully find some shore to cast from when they are generating.
Most everything I have found implies that small midges and stealthy tailwater tactics will work best. I'm hoping I get a chance to chuck some streamers for browns as well. I haven't found any very recent reports from this year.
Any advice from the locals? I'm pretty sure that Colorado's tailwaters will have me at least somewhat prepared for the technical nature of the river, although I'll be pretty rusty after living in coastal NC for the last two years.
