The loop to loop conection of my head and running line get caught in the rod tip. would it hurt to strip the coating off the head loop to make it smaller so it would,nt catch. Thanks
If you remove the coating,you run the risk of the core absorbing water, which will make the line sink and perform different than it is intended to do.Why not use fly tying thread and add a whip finish around the loop to make it smaller?It would not affect the coating on the line and could always be removed if needed.
