Default Scott L2H 5wt switch rod line suggestion

Looking for line suggestions for a Scott L2H 5 wt switch rod. I picked it up to use for smallmouth on a bigger river system near me. I would by using skagit style casts with a floating line and floating or intermediate leaders or tips. Iím open to any suggestions but leaning toward an integrated line if one is available that suited the rod nicely.

Default Re: Scott L2H 5wt switch rod line suggestion

I acquired the 8wt in the series and have been fishing it this season. I have mostly been throwing Airflo heads on it with 10ft tips. With the heads I have, I perceived a preferance to D-Loop orientated casts with it over Continuous-Motion. The OPST heads that I ran on my previous 8 didn't click like the Airflo ones. I think adjusting grain weights might be the solution, I haven't yet done that. My experience with the Airflo heads has been positive, the Skagit Switch is a good choice.
