First day of the year and first day on the water

The weather was terrible, forgot my kick fins (fortunately my buddy had 1 extra fin) and absolutely no takes but it was still a great day!!

Well despite the lack of success, at least you got out on the water, congrats!

I purchased my 2017 fishing license, that is about as far as I have gotten.

nice start to the year. i spent Dec 30 on the Chilliwack River in British Columbia - first time spey casting for early steelhead.

Skunked - but I nice cold, dry day - until I tripped on a rock and fell in the river! Happy New Year to me!
