Default Own a Sage One 136-8 rod?

I have a 13'6" One eight weight with a very ugly anodized reel seat, it isn't bronze, it isn't green, it's just an ugly in-between color. If you own one of these rods is yours the same or did I get a one off rod?

I'm sending it (just the butt section) down to the Sage rod shop soon to have the seat changed to black.

I don't own that rod. A few years ago I bought a Sage One 12 ft 6" six weight, then realized it was "WAY" too much rod for trout fishing, I'm saving that rod for a chance to go steelhead fishing. So I haven't used it since. Last year I bought a GLoomis Pro Axis 11 ft 11" three weight and that is a dream to cast for trout.

Does your 12'6" have the funky anodized seat or is it plain black?

Size of the trout you catch I'd use that rod all day bud

that Imx pro 3wt is pretty sweet. Just wish I had more water where I could use it.

Ard: Mine has a gray/black look to it. It doesn't bother me. It just seems like too much rod for me. My three weight seems to be a better fit.
I need to get out and do some steelhead fishing.

Hey Ard, I have the little Bro to your #8 in 7136 and that sounds like the color of the reel seat. I'll fire off a picture to you in a few minutes.

Larry, I have the same stick 6126 and out this way I think it will be a good fit for steelhead in WNY & Ohio where they run a little smaller than the SR. Guessing on my part but I think that might not be overkill out your way in high water conditions or if you needed to use heavier tips and/or bigger flies condisering the trout you have there. I've read it is considered a great fit for summer steel out west ...sure would like to find out myself someday

Out this way, my Loomis IMX 41111 does a great job as would the #3 , I think those Loomis Short Speys are probably the best deal in Trout spey currently available.....Tom Lamair nailed this one.

I can tell you guys this, if I had basic black aluminum with a black carbon fiber insert I'd think it was the coolest 2 hand rod I ever owned....... I'll find someone who can do that maybe?
