    Default Sling shot techniques?

    Hello,

Anyone have suggestions or pointers on using the sling shot technique for small rivers and creeks. I'm currently fishing this small brook that has some tight brush and fairly large boulders.

are you referring to the bow n arrow cast? I tried it once. Wasn't pretty. I can usually roll cast the tight spots, so didn't try it again lol

AKA the bow & arrow cast, just be sure to have hold at the bend of the hook and do a little practice in a nice wide open area. Once you have it down it comes in handy.

Should the reel be facing downwards and the rod bent back or the reel facing upwards and rod bent back? For getting extended shots, could you coil some line when shooting ?

If you can accomplish a usable bow & arrow cast, then you're a better caster than I
As far as I'm concerned, it's a myth.

I've found the method great for practicing removing hooks from fingers.
