Here in the Tetons we are just getting into temps in the 60's with snow pack water content of over 300 % of normal. So Our waters will be on the rise now. Not that they have been low, they have been releasing alot off water to make room in the res for the snow melt.

so went to shoot some inside photos of a couple of houses this morning for my MIL. shes a realator and i thought id help her out.

it was 86 degrees with 90% humidity outside at 9 am, and i have no idea by 10 when i was shooting, what the hells furnace inside was at.

so went home and spent remainder of the afternoon doing chores and what not.then we gotta call, gramma offered to take our daughter for a while if we would like to go do something.
in my mind there was only one thing (well maybe 2) that we should do so we went fishing.

now the weather at the start of the evening was ok (85 calm) and we both had a nice time. picked the daughter up and came home and then the skys turned on us 60+ mph wind, lightning and all MN had to offer. pretty much killed all my wives flowers that she had just planted on our deck.

now its 64 and all the water has been sucked from my toilets!

I've been fishing in triple digits beginning in June. Feels good to sit down in the water and cool off. I wear full waders too. Water is too deep in places or I would just wear wading pants. No way I'll wet wade, I'm not taking a chance and get something from the water.

We'll be at 96 by late this afternoon and 'wet wading' is the way to go. Water in the upper Rogue will be running in the low 50's so as noted above squatting down in the river is a total 'Ahhhhhhhhhh.'

The one good thing about being high desert is, as the heat goes up the humidity drops to next to nothing.

I don't know what got into me yesterday. But I headed to a lake near Denton Texas, trying to chase after carps. I got my camel back ready but was only able to survive for two hours from 3 to 5 pm. I checked the temperature and it was about 101. Thanks to sun mask I can avoid sun burn. The lake was so dried up and carp were out of sight, but I loved the outing. Got one OK size bass.

Pardon a little self-blog-promotion, but here's how to deal with the heat:

And yes, it's freakin' hot down here.

    It's hot here too.
Still lots of snow on the Sierras. Skiing on the 4th at Mammoth, but they planned to close the following day.

109 is our average this time of year, but our humidity is 8% today. Now that's a dry heat. We have had nine less 100+ degree days than last year and two less haboobs than Phoenix. milt.
