Good Grief Man! Not the case now, but it was so damned cold here in Southern Oregon up until early June, I still had to run the furnace to warm up the house in the AM.

1000 here now and 'out side' we've just broken 66 degrees.

WOW! Up from a long nap and 0149 here now ... and 62 degrees out side, inside temp (windows/sliders open) is 71.

The best part is we have almost zero humidity to go along with high temps. Rather an inverse relationship being classified as 'high desert' (actually my home is only at 1234 feet above sea level) as the heat goes up/the humidity goes down to next to zero (well, 3-5 percent).

This week we are finally getting some cooler weather and some rain. This broke a 15 day streak of 100 + degree weather. There were more before that but the were riddled with 90 + days.

Not only has Texas been experiencing about 60 days of 100 or above Fahrenheit, the state runs dry. I talked with a waitress at a diner in Childress TX from my way home from Colorado and she told me that the last time they had rain was last fall.

Yesterday I fished for pan fish around here and suffered a symptom of heat stroke. Outdoor temperature was 107. My cure for the heat stroke was a cup
of lemon aid and a double cheese burger from In and Out. (Yes you heard me we have IN and OUTs.)
