    "Pork in the pot"

Whole Pork Loin, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, celery, carrots, potatoes, red kidney beans, chopped parsley and seasonings, with DUMPLINGS !

After 8 hours of cooking the dumplings are ready to be cooked.

On the plate.....(with a dab of brown mustard)

I can't look at this thread anymore! I've given up so much food items this year to live a healthier life. Dumplings are my number 1 favorite starch dish in the world but giving up wheat products and 90% of all processed grains... Leaves my life dumpling-less.

So you buy a big bag of lemons from Sammy's and as the days go by you stress over the lemons going bad....what to do?

Today I made lemon sugar cookies topped with sugar glaze, poppy seed, and lemon zest.

I told her she's got to get a bigger cookie jar !!! She sez..I was hoping you were going to make lemon cookies....

    The pile

    The product

I totally forgot about this thread.

Anyway I got tired of paying $10 to $12 per pound for average quality Canadian/Back Bacon so I am now going to do my own. It came out a bit heavy on the salt, so I will adjust that next time. I will be doing this again and maybe try pastrami.
