I saw the original Allman Brothers play in a little club in Buffalo New York called Aliota's. Their road manager stabbed and killed the club manager that night. But man, they just blew us away in that little club.

I started an Eric Clapton collection on youtube this morning around 9am; it just finished playing. That is quite a resource, I must say.

i'm gonna go a little more modern, i've been burning up new albums by the following
Snow Patrol - Fallen Empires (great band from Northern Ireland)
Florence and the Machine - Ceremonials
    Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More

Those are the 4 that have been in constant circulation the past few weeks on my music playing devices.

I saw that episode, it was great! They are the only band I can think of with several songs about fishing too!

Here is John the Fisherman. Cheesy video, great song. I play this one often while towing the boat to the lake!

    Lyrics:

When he was young you'd not find him doing well in school,
His mind would turn unto the waters.
Always the focus of adolescent ridicule,
He has no time for farmer's daughters.
    Alienated from the clique society,
A lonely boy finds peace in fishing.
His mother says "John this is not the way life's supposed to be."
"Don't you see the life that you are missing?"
    And he says...
When I grow up I want to be,
One of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman.

Now years gone by we find the man who rules the sea.
He sets out on a dark May morning .
To bring his catch back to this small community.
He doesn't see the danger dawning.
Four hours up, oh the ocean swelled and swelled,
The fog rolled in it started raining.
"The starboard bow." "Oh my God we're going down!"
They do not hear his frantic mayday.
    And he says
When I grow up I want to be,
one of the harvesters of the sea.
I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman.
"I'll live and die a fisherman."
    Calling John the Fisherman.
