Best Tenkara Brown Trout to Date

Just back from fishing a local limestoner. I managed to land my largest Tenkara wild Brown Trout to date. Very stout fish measured out at 16 inches. Used my Tenkara USA 12 foot "Iwana" with TUSA 13 foot furled leader and 4 foot of 5X tippet and my own beetle pattern. This combo handled the fight very well. What a great time. Can't wait to go again!

Catching a biggish fish with a Tenkara rod is a hoot.

Everybody asks, "What do you do when the fish takes off?"

And I answer, "Hang on."
