    If you go back to the park, plan to hike back to grebe lake. You can catch grayling back there. Take bear spray with you just in case. It's about a 1.5 mile hike through gently sloping terrain. You will probably have the place to yourself. I did when I fished there.

    Grebe Lake was actually poisoned in fall 2017 so that westslope cutthroats could replace the rainbows and fluvial rather than lake-dwelling grayling could be introduced (the lake dwellers are actually nonnative, while the cutts and fluvial grayling are native to the drainage downstream of Gibbon Falls).

    Not sure how I feel about this. I doubt I'll ever get back there to fish.
