  1. Default Straigt River, Park Rapids, MN

Happy spring to all. The weather is warming and I'm starting to dream about soft water fishing.

Has anyone spent time on the Straight River? I have read good things about it and have been thinking of spending a couple of days there this spring.

Any tips or suggestions on stream sections, fly selection etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chad

When I was going to college in Fargo I would flyfish the Straight. The best time is during the hex hatch just before or into the dark. Otherwise use buggers or real big nymphs along the banks.
