It put quite a bend in my 8 weight. I thought I was snagged, until the "log" gave a head shake. I thought it was a catfish at first, with the continual downward dives, not wanting to come up. Definitely my fish of the year...so far.

Spent a couple of hours on a local river this past Sunday. Nothing spectacular but a nice day to be out.

Wasn't on the fly, but a new PB for a largemouth, just to giddy not to share. 18" on the nose if the apron is accurate.

If you go late evening here, expect to come back looking like you have chicken pox with half your blood drained from all the mosquitos. Plus I actually suffer from Skeeter Syndrome, so too many bites I actually get ill.
Honestly, I dont really enjoy fly fishing still water. Ive done it before and caught bass, just much prefer conventional gear in lakes and ponds.
