Happy here Yoda would be. Been more like Dagobah than Earth the climate has. Yes, hrrmmm.

Rare redear sunfish on a balanced Leech. Crappie was one of the better ones I've gotten this year. Would love to have shown a photo of the 6-7 pound bass I had on, but lost that fish under the dock.

I was with a guide once, and when I hooked a fish but it threw the hook right after I got the leader to the rod, the guide called it a "perfect release." This bluegill did one better. I landed him and turned to get my camera and forceps, and when I turned back, he had flopped, thrown the fly, and was lying next the rod, waiting for his photo op. He was back in the water a few second later.

People complain about the humidity in Florida... but no one's ever had to shovel humidity to get to his car.

Good one off the dock at sundown. Hit like a ton of bricks. Thought I had a big ol' catfish until it went airborne.

Catching good size gills and crappie every time I get on the water, but not in the quantities I enjoyed last year at this time. Only seven of each this evening. Still a good time on the water.

Also caught a gar, which I could do without.

Gar aren’t my favorite either. I’m always happy when they come off. Dark Crappie and nice redear.
