Went hunting for walleye again with my very first fly....a "baby doll''

Mine was pretty beat up after catching some "eyes" but well worth it

Larry, thanks I still have a ton to learn and I feel like a little kid again. Just the feel on my fly rod as opposed to my bait chucker seems so different when any fish hits it. I am just now "attempting" to tie flys and I have to admit its pretty daunting with all the materials available.

I can get overwhelming. Starting the first fly was daunting to me. But to catch fish, and a mess of them to enjoy on the dinner table, all caught on something you made with your own hands is very satisfying. What a great stringer full of walleyes!

    Was it fun?
    Well, there you go!
Since the fly is now fish-spit-approved, I'd tie up a few more, and retire that one to a place of honor.
