Thanks! Gonna have to tie some of those up and give 'em a try next spring...there are carp here, and close to "home".

Sorry for the lapse in response, the holidays are a lot of road time for the Mrs and me. I'm glad to hear we have some brown liners here, I think they are as challenging as any other fish out there. The dog days of summer will be here soon and I have been tying Carp nymps and backstabbers for the last few days, so what are your favorite flys for your particular area?

Hey bugslinger, check out my fly on the fly tying articles section of this forum. I made a craft store version of the back stabbed. Let me know what you think.

I fish mostly green soft hackles, and this year went to a hybrid soft hackle worm. Primary forage for my area are freshwater clams, so the worm tail is often taken as the extended foot of a clam.

I can't wait for spring!

It is going to be a long, cold winter.

Beautiful Carp! I can't wait for the summer to come back to get another shot at 'em.

Jealousy isn't even a good word to describe what I'm feeling right now. I've been wanting to get one on a fly rod, bad!

I am going nuts here! I haven't been this excited about something since I hooked in to my first Albie on a fly.
