Carp meet AFF Hooks

I have been tying all my Carp flies on Allen Fly Fishing hooks. The SW001 #6 for the Dog Biscuit and the MP001 #8 for t Glow Bug. These hooks are SHARP! Barely hooking these guys which is awesome!

Note, the hook in this guys chest was not mine

I've just gotta target some carp with my 8wt?

I tried my six weight loaded with 7 wt SS Magnum (till I get my custom 7) I pulled to side to go under a tree to land one and I hear SNAP. I continued under the tree and noticed the tip into the third section was dangling. I pulled again to the side to land and SNAP again. middle of the second section. An Orvis T3 so it is getting repaired as I type.

Those Dog Biscuit flies seem to be doing the trick on the Carp.
