I picked up a Sage Approach 4wt a while back for bluegill and trout. That was back when I only had my Orvis 6wt rod I had started with. I still love the Sage rod, but also wanted a Cabela's CGR rod, which I put an Orvis Battenkill reel on. I love them both for bluegill.

I’m using a 2wt sage rod with an echo base reel for sunnies. Occasionally I hook a bass but it’s never been a problem. I’m not fishing big water for sunnies anyway, so the bass never run far or get fought for too long. Once the weather warms up here I usually have it in the truck most days for after work sunnie hunts! It’s great fun.
