    Default First bronze of '17!

I decided to give the white bass a break Friday and made a trip to my favorite small stream in hopes that my favorite bass species had migrated up. and to my surprise they had started arriving even though the water was a lil chilly still. it was pretty evident that they were in feeding mode and were actively chasing my streamer. I landed several lil guys and a nice one....and I missed a TOAD! the Barclay 70LS was built for this kind of water and fishing style.....it continues to amaze!

now the fun begins of putting a plan in place to hunt the big one that got away

My first smallmouth of the year wasn't caught on fly, mainly because it was a new stretch of water for me and I only had a short time for recon... That and this particular river is a few hundred yards wide.

Either way I was pretty happy to get it to net! 18" of bronze back beauty.
