Thank you Doug.

I looked at the site & found several patterns (no recipes, but a picture will do for me)

I'm guessing that the Silver Ghost - Wet Fly was the one you may have been suggesting ?? There were about four or five different versions, one dry & others.

Thanks again, I'll tie some up & give them a try the coming spring.

Wrong ... It is the Silver Doctor, not Silver Ghost ... Go to http://www.Percysflies.com; in the search box type "Silver Doctor;" hit to go button... The page should open to several variations of the Doctor to include one for the salt, a couple of streamers, and a wet and dry pattern.

The Doctor was originally designed as a streamer and I like it that way ... the mini-size is my preference as is the tandem variation.

Good luck

Thank you for the correction. I did look for the Silver Doctor on the site not my typo of the Silver Ghost. Do you ever fish the wet fly that they show by the same name ? (Or is that the mini-size you are speaking about ?) Either way I plan on tying several & trying them out. The wet fly version may pan out to be a good steelhead fly for my area of the country. Thanks again for the comments & help.

The mini I referred to is the tandem streamer tied on #6 hooks. The other pattern I like is the what Percy's calls the "winged" streamer. Both will work on steelhead. The wet pattern shown is not as colorful as the wet I am accustomed to fishing.
