    Default The bass were taking dry flies.

    I normally like to go after bigger fish but there is this park with this creek next to my house and this what I do for fitness, the bass in this creek are small this time of year so it's cool to use a light rod and some drys. Enjoy.

    If that's all that's biting, I'd be right there with you. Catch and release with barbless hooks. They look pretty healthy.

    Would expect that you'd catch some decent size panfish that way from time to time.

    A friend of mine, Capt. Norm Bartlett, many years ago, set out to get a fly rod world record for 4 lb tippet class I think it was. He caught a Smallmouth Bass that was a record and if I recall correctly, on a caddis dry fly pattern. They eat what's available.
    Remember, no one likes to be behind the big truck, but that's better than being under it!
