Thread: Barth Pit fishing report

  1. Default Barth Pit fishing report

Well I and the Mrs went out to Barth Pit today and after several hours in the hot sun we didnt get a bite. Seen a couple of Bass swimming, and spoke with a local that scoped it last week end and was advised Bass were 5 feet obove bottom and 30 feet from shore, and not very active at this time. Humboly River spilling into Pit is Muddy and swift and deep.

    Hi puckerstrings,

Well you had a day in the great Nevada outdoors even if you didn't catch any fish. Sounds like you need a sinking line. Also if there is a mud line in the water you should try fishing the edge of it. Bass may be looking for any food that may have drifted into the pond with the mud.

Seen an awful lot of Carp, Way more than I saw last year.Water Temperature seemed to be abou the same. Lake Level seemed baout the same and Air Temperature seemed about the same as last year. Don't know why I didnt see or catch any Bass. I used a lot of Whooly Buggers Beaded head Nympths and several Damsels but no luck. Anyone have any adice sure would be appreciated. Have fun fishing
