    After you catch a fish on it, cut it off and save it. Tie some more.

    Looking good My Man, looking good. Only suggestion I'd make is shorten up on the tail. Probably a good idea to not have same extending much beyond the bend of the hook.

    Looks nice, it'll catch some fish! Are you going to use it for trout or bass? Bass love a wooly bugger. x2 for shortening the tail. The risk is that fish will hit the tail without getting hooked. My first fly wasn't nearly that good.

    Nice tie! my first fly is stuck in the roots of an old ash tree hanging over the bank of the Little Miami river.Lost it on the first cast! I tied on a similar bug my grandpa gave me and shoveled out a little river chub I laugh every time i wade past that tree, Ill remember it forever.

    great job...that fly will work good on up stream casts...just keep the line in so it wont speed uf the drift...one of those in all black is a real fish catcher too...imitating a black leech...a favorite trout food...good luck...
